The fit can also easily be checked for the layman, in which one represents the child's foot on the insole of the removed shoe. Marks are on the sole to show exactly how big the child’s foot should be for each size.
In the manufacture of Däumling shoes are only materials used that meet the relevant statutory requirements. Highest quality leathers are tanned exclusively vegetable and without the addition of chemicals and dyed without harmful AZO dyes. Allergy triggers such as heavy metals and nickel are of course nothing for children’s shoes and therefore are not used in the production.
The leathers used are all equipped waterproof, even for models with sympatex membrane so that water runs off and does not penetrate into the leather. The advantages are obvious: the shoe dries quickly and the dirt is also only slightly on the surface.
